ALIENS INVADE WORKFORCEJust when we thought it could not get worse ...we come to find out that aliens are now getting more job interviews than people over forty...
1) Aliens are flexible and have many hands. These hands enable them to perform more than one position at a time. This enables employers to reduce their staff plus save on benefits...an obvious WIN.
2) Aliens do not speak English...therefore if they have an opinion it is usually a tough to translate thus allowing the top bosses to remain in their bubble of illusion. In this bubble the only mantra heard is "I know more then everyone else, I get paid more than everyone else... Bring on the Big Bonus" This bubble seems to be protective allowing these bonuses to remain solid as the company goes bankrupt or is bailed out by tax payers money.
3) Also Aliens like new graduates demand a hire starting wage. This important because they will very quickly realize the importance of not earning past as certain level inorder to not be penilized by taxes...this allows C level managment to remain in thier bubble and American to stay mediocre. Side benifit aliens help these same companies recieve even greater tax incentives by meeting EEO levels.
An Amazing day to wake and have absolutely nothing to do but get the kids dressed fed and out to school, clean the house do the laundry plan the dinner and NOT GET PAID...It makes you wonder how this got done befor I lost my high powered corporate position to downsizing.
Many of my friends have been stay at home moms envying my career and wanting one now that their children are older. They like most are unable to work a starting salary in the job market for their experience level. Yet "kids"right out of school, never working 10 hour days, day after day after day plus nights and weekends are demanding (with confidence) $40K-$60K for annual salaries due to the cost of their over priced educations. Compare this to the average salary of a graduate in 1988 who where earning $22K-$35K. I guess with inflation this may make sense. However we are losing talented mature workers who are too qualified for the $60K jobs which are now being invented to out the reduction of positions at $120K salary level...What'sup with that?
Over qualified to perform the same duties at a hire level in a job that was eliminated to save money and now being re-purposed at lower level. I am not against graduates getting jobs and they are really talented...but seriously I know I have skills and something to offer.
So should I be committed for staying in one industry for over 20 years or should corporate America be committed for creating this environment of mediocrity and then wondering why we can not compete on a global level? Where does the Government stand? While this is not a political blog...I do have a comment: (big surprise) What is the point...when I could have earned more in take home pay had I been paid less...aren't we creating and rewarding a society of mediocrity...unless you can earn oodles of money so you can afford to find tax shelters or have oversees accounts...Committed?
